October 2013

Connor had hurt his food mysteriously a few weeks before.  He had limped and skipped etc through his days.  So now it was time to find out what was wrong.  An x-ray was taken that did not show any breaks or cracks.  Cut then a call came that tissue damage was seen and he and mom must go to another medical office.  Connor came home with this boot.  He needs to wear it all the time for two weeks.  He is taking it in stride but surely not liking that he can not play outside as it is too muddy and cannot run.  Poor Connor.

Chelsea is a good eater and loves her new seat, which is just like Connor's which makes her very happy.

 Connor enjoyed painting.
And as always likes to use Grandma's tablet. He is using a maze app so not so bad.  He loves Tumblebooks too.  During the weekend, we often had to give Connor a deadline to put the tablet away.

Connor is very cooperative with his diabetes.  He gets his blood tested almost q dozen times a day.  He gets at least 4 shots too.  Sometimes he wants an apple and cannot have one and then later in the day will HAVE to eat one.  He is a big eater at meal time and willing to try new foods.  He ate seafood stew and zucchini lasagna.  For breakfast has Kix with milk and always finished the whole bowl.  He eats as many apples and bananas(they tent to raise his numbers) as he allowed each day. He understand he cannot eat gluten and has to be careful about foods that are sweet.  We hope he always stays this cooperative.

Chelsea runs to give me a hug when she sees me.  She says gramma very clearly.  She tugs around Mickey Mouse often.  She loves putting shapes onto the pegs, not sure what the toy is called.  She will sit still for tv for more than 30 min. Not sure that is good but she loves to sit next to her brother on the couch. Very interesting in poo poo.  She can throw a fit when someone leaves the house.  Enchanted with shoes(foos).  She tries them on and prances around.  If she wants to go out, she bring shoes to everyone.  She also puts them away in the shoe box when asked.
