April 6th

Daddy and Mommy went out to a "party" so Grandma got to babysit. Connor let me test his blood several times.  When I tested it at night, he did not even wake up.  I learned to fill the syring with insulin but did not give Connor a shot yet.  I watched and should be ready pretty soon.  Todd and Megan talked to me about what his numbers should be and how to correct etc.  I still have more to learn to get it really straight in my mind. Connor was really good about being told what he could eat or not eat.  He asked for an apple but was told he could not have one right now.  No complaints from him.
Connor played Candy Land with me very well.  He wanted to trade pieces with me when I got a head but his was able to understand that he cannot always win.  He held back tears a bit but really did well.  I did have to throw the game to him so I would not win twice in a row.  He did twelve pieces puzzles well starting to get the idea of edges and corners.  He listened to two fairy tale recordings in a row on my tablet(good attention span). He still likes to play "cars" and Legos, even though they are really too easy.  He loves Super Heroes books, toys, videos etc.  At bedtime and naptime he goes right to bed after stories.  At the playground, he wanted me to play tag.  He also play acted Jack and the beanstalk on the junglegym.  Grandma is not as good at this pretend play as Papa.
He does not like his picture takes at all.  Oh, well, this too shall pass.
